Great Dane
The Great Dane is a German breed of big dog that can be as tall as 30 inches. The tallest recorded Great Dane stood at 44 inches. But this breed has a shorter life span than most big dogs, living only for 6 to 8 years. The Great Dane is generally friendly to humans, other dog breeds and even other animals. It is a very lean dog and is more popularized by the cartoon Scooby Doo, whose main character is a Great Dane.
