The 14 Biggest Waves Ever Surfed #14 is Terrifying!

Teahupo’o

Teahupo’o is found in Tahiti, French Polynesia, and means “to serve the head”.  It is the local name for one of the heaviest waves on Earth. Not only is this a big surf, it is also very dangerous. With a combination of shallow reef and high wave surfs, Teahupo’o has claimed around 5 casualties since 2000 and continues to be one of the places where tourists go to search for big ones.
