Shipstern Bluff
Also known as “Devil’s Point”, Shipstern Bluff is located just offshore of Tasmania, Australia. It features a treacherous right with ledges that further develop. This makes it very difficult to ride. Surfer Mark Matthews made a mistake riding the developing ledges on this wave, and lost it big time, which later led to the 2011 XXL Wipeout of the Year Award. It’s certainly one of the biggest waves ever surfed!
