Lake Toba
Lake Toba can be found in North Sumatra, Indonesia. It is the remains of a super volcano, which exploded 74,000 years ago, ejecting more than a thousand times what Mount St. Helens spewed out in 1980. Some scientists say that the explosion almost wiped out the human race. The human genome traces to only about a few thousand people which survived from the approximate time of the explosion.
