Phillip Island’s Great White Shark (5,085 pounds)
During the 1970s one of the most massive great white sharks was caught around the waters off of Phillip Island. Unofficially it was 21 feet long (6.2 m) and weighing 5,085 pounds (2,306 kg.). Although the official information was never disclosed, this is considered as the biggest shark ever caught. It was so big that a whole seal was found inside the shark’s stomach.
