Alf Dean’s Great White (2,664 pounds)
On April 21, 1959, Alf Dean caught this 16-foot great white shark off the coast of Ceduna, Australia. It weighed 2,664 pounds and the International Game and Fish Association lists this as one of the biggest sharks ever recorded. Australia is famous for its fantastic looking beaches, the Great Barrier Reef and the great white sharks which live in the area.
