Who would have thought that large dog breeds can swim as good as their smaller counterparts? The Newfoundland was first bred as companions of fishermen, hence developing their abilities to swim. Its coat is usually black but varieties of this breed also sport grey, white or brown coats. Its weight can reach up to 90 kilos.
