Gomek (17.8 feet long)
Gomek has had a journey filled life. The 17.8 foot crocodile was captured in the waters of Papua new Guinea. In 1985 Arthur and Terri Jones bought the animal. Gomek was brought to Florida and stayed and entertained visitors for about 5 years. St. Augustine Alligator Farm in Australia became its home after that. Until he died in 1997, he drew in record numbers of visitors to the venue. His estimated age at his death was 60 to 80 years old.
