When hailstones fall, run and hide
Protect yourself. There have been instances when hailstones have destroyed wooden structures, including the sides of barns. Cars parked in the open can have their windshields broken. Regular household windows would not stand a chance against regular hailstones, especially if these fall for an extended period of time. Whether these come with tornadoes or not, they are dangerous forms of precipitation and should not be taken lightly. When a hail storm passes, you do not want to be caught in the open.
