Predator and Prey
The lion’s mane jellyfish eats small sea fishes, zooplankton, comb jellies and moon jellies. On the other hand, it is prey to seabirds, larger fishes, sea turtles and other jellyfish species. Leatherback sea turtles feed almost exclusively on the Lion’s Mane Jellyfish during summer along Eastern Canada.
