Cortes Bank
Cortes Bank, California, is like the rest of the Eastern Pacific big waves, fierce, strong and gigantic. The Bank is located nearly 100 miles off the coast of California, and here the waves reach 80 to 90 feet high. The above image was submitted by Shawn Dollar of the USA, for the 2014 XXL Big Wave Awards’ Ride of the Year. This is really one of the biggest wave ever surfed on Earth.
