The 1973 Manikganj Singair And Nawabganj Tornado
Yet again Bangladesh records another hit by a deadly twister. This time it happened in 1973. The areas damaged by this deadly tornado were the upazilas or sub-districts of Singair and Nawabganj. It also heavily damaged the district of Manikganj. Mass destruction was brought to these places. Many people lost their lives. About 680 of them were reported and confirmed. Reports say that whole villages were trampled flat by the power of this one.
