The actual contest
Finding large morel mushrooms is quite common though. In fact, there is a competition that awards the person finding the Tallest Morel. It requires submission of an unedited clear version of the giant morel, a visible tape measure beside it, and a mark indicating when the photo was taken. Most of all, it should be published in a local newspaper. The winner will be declared after verification that the said mushroom really grew that big.. Most people have it as a trophy find especially in Missouri.
